Pastor Jeff grew up a preacher's kid but rebelled for many years. After serving in the US military, he worked as a mailman and did landscaping to support his family of five. In 1992 on Labor Day, after a 3 day cocaine binge, he finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired. In his own living room, he decided to give his life to Jesus and he was instantly healed of his drug and alcohol addiction. He began to serve in his local church wherever help was needed and he earned his ministerial credentials through the Assemblies of God. Eventually, in 1997, he and his wife felt called to pastor a small church of 8 people in Matteson. Today, the church is in a larger building across the street, has planted three churches from Chicago to Burbonnaise, hosts the VANGUARD program for at-risk youth and houses a school from PreK through 5th grade.
