We praise and glorify God and tend the needs of God's people.

Shiloh Evangelical Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). We gather for worship at 9:00 a.m. July through December and at 11:00 a.m. January through June, on Sunday mornings. We celebrate Holy Communion weekly. We have a weekly Bible study group at 12:30 p.m. almost every Friday. On Thursday evenings at 5:30 p.m. members of the community comes to pack Lewis Cass Buddy Bags, a week-end food pack for hungry children during the school year.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We gather with songs, prayers, and litanies, hear the Word of God proclaimed through Scripture and preaching, profess our faith using the Apostles' or Nicene Creed, share God's gifts to us through an offering, receive Christ's body and blood through bread and cup, and are sent into the world to proclaim God's love to all through word and action. The service is a traditional Lutheran service that uses the Lutheran Book of Worship setting 2. We celebrate Holy Communion weekly and all baptized Christians are invited to the table to receive communion or a blessing. We have a children's sermon and the children collect change to help with several worthy causes. We have Advent service on Thursdays in Advent and a Christmas Eve service. We begin Lent with imposition of Ashes, followed by Thursday Lenten Services. We have Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services during Holy Week.

What is the community like?
We are a small church that is like family. We have a coffee hour every Sunday as a continuation of our fellowship. We have a Bible study group that gathers at 12:30 p.m. on Fridays. We welcome all to come study with us, you do not have to be a member or even a Lutheran to enjoy our Friday Bible Study. We like to sing. We may be small in number, but we are mighty in praising our Lord in song.
