Shady Grove is one of many local churches that make up The United Methodist Church. We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are a church of 12 million members worldwide … including our community in Providence, NC.
What are services like?
We try not to categorize our worship as either "traditional" or "contemporary". Rather, our service is called "Word and Table" because we pray the Scriptures and receive communion every Sunday.
We believe that kind of service (praying the Scriptures around the Table) will form us into the Church that God needs us to be. If you join us this Sunday, you will discover a service grounded in The United Methodist Book of Worship.
There are five moments in each Sunday service:
Gathering, Proclaiming, Responding, Communing, and Sending.
