Salem is a caring community of believers who offer an open invitation to join us in serving, communing, and growing in Jesus Christ. It is the home of Shalom Ministry, a parallel mission development of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Indiana-Kentucky Synod.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Most Sundays we worship from the ELW "cranberry" book. Monthly we use the blue "With One Voice" book on the Second Sunday. Third Sundays we use Art Gorman's "Chicago Folk Service" which is accompanied by guitar, piano and other string or wind instruments.

What is the community like?
New Augusta is an old community surrounded by suburban Northwest Indianapolis.
