Our Services

What are services like?
Our services blend some of the old traditions with a new modern message and way of interpreting God's call to us. We are casual in appearance but very open, loving, and friendly small congregation.

What is the community like?
We enjoy gathering together for meals, chatting with each other over coffee, and reaching out to each other in our time of need.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We accept and affirm all people's choices in life.

Damien Lake

This is my second career in life, I had ten good years in sales, marketing, and management and truly loved what I did. I have enjoyed my call to serve a community and a church and love getting up in the morning and responding to God's call to serve. My partner and I have four children, plus an exchange student from the Netherlands currently living with us for the year. I am finishing my Masters in Divinity Degree at Chicago Theological Seminary in Chicago while serving here at St. John UCC.
