Who We Are

Our congregation is here to tell others of Jesus.

Saint John Lutheran Church has been a part of the Hattiesburg community for over 66 years. We are here to shard the forgiveness of the Lord on behalf of Jesus' suffering and death to those in the community and beyond. We look forward to serving in you.

Our Services

Service Times

  • 08:00am - Early service for early risers
  • 10:30am - This service is the one where the choirs sing and there is from time to time special music. It is the larger attended service of the two services

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our worship service follows the traditional worship service that is based on Christian worship for over 400 years. It is Bible base and there is a lot of singing. The pastor wears an alb and stole signifying this office as the leader of worship. We have the Lord's Supper every Sunday because in the Supper the Lord comes to us offering his very body and blood for our forgiveness, salvation and eternal life itself.

What is the community like?
We are a wonderful mix of young and old, with more older members than young who care about each other and those who come into our midst.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We invite you to come and hear the Word of God as it has been traditionally taught for over 1,900 years. God's Word is inspired and is the guide for our entire life.
