Since back in the 40's this church was our Home church & we were raised in this town & this catholic church. Our large MacCarthy family received all our sacraments here over many years. I was married here in l959, & although I have lived in New Milford all these years, this sweet church is like home to me. Its not in the depot where the former church was located, nor on the Green, where some other local churches are located, but right in the middle of a curve on Rt. #47. Like the church in the dale-lovely! It used to still have real candles to light, for prayers for our beloved ones. Our parents brought all of us up at this church, & my Mom, (Betty MacCarthy) was a daily dedicated parishioner. Many wonderful pastors served here and may all who have passed. Rest in Peace!
