What to Expect

What are services like?
The 9:00 am service is Traditional service with a choir; however, it is not "high church." It does consist of liturgy and congregational responses, but we do not have a pipe organ. The dress is business casual 11:00 service is very casual where particpants sit either around tables or in chairs. Attendees are encouraged to have a snack and something to drink. The music is conptemporary to modern with a band. This is a more free-flowing service that ultilizes multimedia. The dress for this service is casual.

What is the community like?
The church community has a large number of older adults (65+) who attend mainly the 9 am service. The 11 am service is made up of younger adults with children. Although the church has existed for over 140 years there are not multi-generational families. The church members are mostly middle-class American being made up primarily of White; however, we do have African decent, Latino, Asian and Native American members.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We invite people from all walks of life to join us. We are Christians and are not apologetic about our faith. However, we do not feel we can "make" someone a Christian. Being a Christian is about the work of God in an individual's life. We will offer you opportunites to profess Jesus Christ as your Savior; however, we are not called to force a person to know Christ. A person is Christian based on the work of God in an individual's life, and that person's response to God. We desire to be in conversation and walk alongside all people, regardless of where they are in their faith journey.
