What are services like?
Our services are blended. We sing traditional and praise music during service. We offer nursery and children's church up to 1st grade. We are very family oriented. We invite all that will to come and join us glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

What is the community like?
Confessing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, Oak City Baptist Church exists to glorify God as a body of believers who through obedience to the Great Commission will reach out to our neighbors in Seymour and Sevier County, our nation and our world to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples of all who will believe. Our community is small, but we try to reach out to everyone who will allows us to. We seek to tell others about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Take a few moments to consider the following passages from the Bible. Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We must understand that each of us has sinned, or done wrong, and fallen short of God’s standard. Romans 6:23
"...The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" We have earned the penalty of death for our sin, but God offers us something we can never earn but only receive with faith – eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:8
"God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!" What an incredible demonstration of love! Though we were sinners rebelling against God, God chose to remove that barrier of sin between us by sending His Son Jesus Christ – God Himself who became a man – to die on a cross and receive the penalty for our sin. Romans 10:9,10
"...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." To be saved, we must believe that Jesus Christ died for our sin and rose victorious over the grave and confess Him as Lord or Master of our life. Romans 10:13 
"Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!" It really is that simple. You can call on Him right now to save you. Just speak to Him with a humble and believing heart. You might say something like the following: “God, I know that I am a sinner and I ask for forgiveness. I believe that you sent Your Son Jesus Christ to die for my sin so that I could receive that forgiveness and have eternal life with You. I want to turn away from my old sinful life and turn to my new life with you as my Lord. Thank You for saving me. It is in Jesus’ name that I pray. Amen.”
