What are services like?
#big church is comprised of #flowchurch most weeks and #servicechurch on months with a 5th Sunday. #flowchurch Flow is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does. Flow church may include, on various Sundays, such things as praying, singing, Bible study, exercises such as Sylvia’s breathing exercise and others, poetry, story reading, writing, art, healing, etc. #smallchurch - #smallchurch is just that, a gathering of two or more people who come together for a common purpose and to live life together. #smallchurch exists to connect in community around common interests; we eat & drink, we talk, we enjoy art, music, movies and anything else people enjoy doing together. Because Novitas rejects the divisions between sacred and secular, we believe all of life should be lived as worship to God and that we should include Jesus in every aspect of our life. #smallchurch is an intentional opportunity to do just that.

What is the community like?
Novitas is not a traditional/formal church. We are a postmodern, emergent, truth seeking community of faith. We are an egalitarian* community that is welcoming and affirming of all people. *Affirming, promoting, or characterized by belief in equal political, economic, social, and civil rights for all people. No matter how big we grow, we will keep it simple. We do not want a bunch of programs nor to fill up people’s schedule for the sake of “doing something”. Rather, we want people to feel free to do what they are led to do and then allow others the freedom to join in with their own talents to help as God leads.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome everyone. You can hang out with us no matter where you are in life.
