Developing disciples of Jesus Christ and learning The Way of Jesus

We are a 150 member Presbyterian Church USA. We are varied in our theological viewpoints, but leadership leans toward progressive. We are an open and affirming congregation-we support LGBT people in life and ministry. We are a Covenant Network church. We believe Scripture is the unique and authoritative witness to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Folks may question "Well if you believe in the Bible, how do you support gay people?" Come worship with us and lets talk about it. We believe in an inclusive God whose Kingdom is not limited to human understanding. We believe in a generous extravagant Grace of God.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Services are traditional and liturgical, however the tone is not one of "high church". It is down to earth, humorous, and Grace-filled.

What is the community like?
The community is largely older adults. There are a few infants and a handful of younger families. Our pastor is in his early 40's with a spouse in her 30's. They have two school aged children. There are folks who would identify as conservative and folks who would identify as liberal both politically and theologically. We believe our one common ground is the need for Jesus Christ in our lives. The differences can be discussed without having to be right or convert folks of opposing viewpoints to our point of view.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are interested in becoming a Christian we will talk with you about how to accept the Grace of Jesus Christ and confess him as Lord and Savior of your life. We believe the chief aim of humanity is to glorify God and enjoy God forever. We are accepting of other faith traditions, but our worship and existence centers around the Lordship of Jesus Christ. That is to say we are ecumenical, but explicitly Christian.
