Our Services

What are services like?
We teach exclusively from the King James Version Bible. Everyday we strive to lift up praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe that our actions should reflect the Word of God as expressed in the Gospel of Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

What is the community like?
Loving and warm. Be prepared to receive smiles and hugs :-)

What if I'm not a Christian?
Romans 10:12 - "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." At NHBC, we do not assume people are saved when they enter into our sanctuary, but we believe as the Word of God says, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" - Matthew 28:19

Leadership View all

Coleman Hart

Rev. Coleman L. Hart, Sr., was installed as Senior Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in September of 2009. Though born in Prescott, Arkansas, his roots to New Hope Reach far beyond his tenure as pastor. Pastor Hart came to California in 1962 and lived with his Grandparents in a home that was directly across the street from New Hope when it was located on 10th Avenue. He was called to Christ in 1977, when he began serving in the church through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and other ministries. Pastor Hart, along with his wife, First Lady Judith Hart, have four children between them and yet, find time to make the entire congregation feel like their immediate family.
