I'm a Jesus lover and a Jesus follower. I grew up in Ft. Walton Beach on the panhandle of Florida and moved to Orlando when I was in high school. One afternoon after school, while waiting for a ride home, another student sat down next to me and shared the Spiritual Four Laws with me. I prayed to receive Christ right then and there and began the most wonderful journey of my life! When I was 19 years old I was at a garage sale and found a wooden plaque with a sail boat carved on it with Jeremiah 29:13 and the first part of verse 14 written on it which said, "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart, I will be found by you, says the LORD..." I can still remember how I felt reading this verse for the first time. It marked my heart. The concept of finding God intrigued me. I just didn’t understand why He would require so much of me or anyone else for that matter, simply to find Him. So I bought the plaque and placed it in a prominent place every where I lived, in my college dorm room, my first apartment, and each successive apartment and home thereafter. Finally, 11 years later, when I was 30, I embarked on a whole-hearted journey to find out what this verse meant - the seeking and searching for a God who was willing to be found. Little did I know how this verse would dramatically impact and forever change my life. It is now 38 years later and I'm still seeking and searching for Him with my whole heart. I have to tell you, I have loved and hold dear everything I have found! In 1998 I enrolled in Faith Christian University and in 2001 received a BA in Bible and Theology. In June 2000 I started traveling with Fire to the Nations on short-term mission trips to the Philippians, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, South Africa, Haiti, Russia and Peru. In a very short time I got a real world view of the great need for Jesus Christ, the world over. In 2002 I began attending Missions Church Orlando and serving under the leadership of Pastor Dave Bush. In August 2012 I became the Senior Pastor of Missions Church Orlando. I've been happily married to my husband John since 1983. We have a dog named Bailey and a cat named Rascal. We love living in Orlando! There's no place we'd rather be.
