Sheppard Lawrence

Dr. Shepp Lawrence serves the church as pastor. He came from from Venice FL in 1983 to 1991. Dr. Lawrence spent the next 20 years as a hospital / hospice chaplain, a stated supply and interim and worked in pastoral care for Central Florida Presbytery. He returned to Merritt Island Presbyterian in Oct. 2011. A BA graduate of Presbyterian College, 1971, a M.DIV graduate of Columbia Seminary, 1974 and a D. MIN grad of Boston University, 1980. Dr. Lawrence resides in Merritt Island along with his wife Sue Nisbet. They have 2 grown children, Sarah Smith and Grant. Dr. Lawrence enjoys opening wide the beauty and mysteries of God's word, recreating with young and old and involvement in missions here and abroad. He recently returned from a mission trip to an orphanage in Bohac, Haiti.
