  • McElrath Chapel Church is an amazing place to worship. This fellowship started in 1874. Black and White people would meet at McElrath Campground Annual Meeting. Marriages took place at McElrath Chapel as early as 1899. One was between Hal Upton and Nettle Hardy, by: W.H. Poole. A church built in 1932 still stands today, but is in need of restoration. Since then a beautiful new church has been built. However, we would love to restore the 1932 Historical McElrath Chapel Church. Worshiping, Praying, Preaching, Praising, and Singing is what we do. We have a great time fellowship if together.
