    Lonnie Blosser

Lonnie was born in May of 1964 in Newton, Kansas. His family later moved to Hays where they joined the Hays First Church of the Nazarene and it was here that He was saved and later sanctified. Upon Graduation of High School, Lonnie began attending Mid-America Nazarene University. In the fall of 1986, while conducting a Youth Revival in Northern, KY, Lonnie met his wife Amy (Helton). They corresponded and dated long distance (900 miles). They were married November 1987 and moved to Olathe, Kansas where he finished his education with MNU. He Graduated from MNU with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education in 1991. Lonnie has since done some post-Bachelor’s work at Northern Kentucky University and is currently beginning the process of working towards his Master’s of Divinity. Lonnie also entered the United States Army Reserves in the fall of 1986 to receive the GI bill which allowed him to continue his education. In November of 1990, just three short weeks before he would have completed his studies at MNU, Lonnie's Reserve unit was activated for Desert Shield. Three days after his unit entered Saudi Arabia, Desert Shield became Desert Storm. His unit took Iraqi Prisoners of War and managed their care in a prison camp. Six months later, he returned home to his family, who had moved to Northern Kentucky to be near family. Amy also supports him in his ministry endeavors and currently serves as worship leader in the church. Amy has written several worship songs that have copyrights. She has co-written a song that has been produced by Brentwood Benson Music in Nashville, Tenn. Amy’s heart-felt style of writing has ministered to pastors and wives at district retreats, Ministers & Mates Retreat, Mother/Daughter Banquets and for local worship services. She has made commercials for Cincinnati radio and TV stations. God has definitely given her a wonderful gift and a passion for worship. Amy is a retired Federal Court Reporter for the United States District Court and is working towards a degree in psychology. Both Amy and I have been blessed with four beautiful children and a beautiful daughter-in-law: Brandon and his wife, Megan; Nikole; and the twins, Whitney and Courtney. Our children have been very involved in our ministry over the years and have also been trained in every aspect of ministry and just love “doing church.” Their hearts are tender and passionate. Our goal as a ministry couple is to love God with all our hearts and to demonstrate God’s love to others. It is also our goal to incorporate people into ministry, to watch them grow and excel in their talents and abilities that God has given them, thereby making them a part of the overall body of Christ. In May of 2012 Lonnie and Amy became Grandparents. Samuel Paul Blosser was born to Brandon and Megan Blosser.
