    Bishop Diante' Waldon

Presiding Prelate of Maranatha Faith Fellowship International Bishop Diante Waldon is a native of McDonough Ga. He was reared in a Christian home where he not only learned about love for his fellow man, but also the love of Christ. Through this Christian upbringing, he was blessed to accept Jesus Christ at an early age, thus beginning his tireless effort to tell others about the Savior. Bishop Waldon was educated in the Henry County School System. After graduation from high school, Bishop Waldon attended Savannah State College now Savannah State University majoring in Psychology and Sociology. While at Savannah State Bishop Waldon was inducted as a MIAKA Knight (Men Incorporated with Alpha Kappa Alpha/Cavaliers Fraternity Inc. est. 1979). Bishop Waldon also attended Clayton State College now Clayton College & State University. Bishop Waldon is now furthering his Biblical education at Andersonville Seminary and plans to receive a Masters of Divinity and a Doctorate of Theology in 2009. After his return from Savannah, Bishop Waldon began a work with the Shiloh Youth Ministry. In 1996, Bishop Waldon was elected Man of The Year (Shiloh Baptist) and in 1997 The Young Person Making A Difference (Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Community Awards Ceremony). Bishop Waldon also volunteered his time and talents to travel with the Henry County United In Christ Choir which afforded him the honors of singing on the same stage and in the presence of John P. Kee, Five Young Men, and at the 1996 Olympic Games Torch relay. Bishop Waldon is featured on the Divine Praize CD and is an avid Psalmist and songwriter. Bishop Waldon is married to his high school sweetheart Yvette L. Waldon (formerly Webb) also of McDonough GA. In their small suburban community, they were affectionately known as the “Dynamic Duo” for their work with many youth of the local area and statewide. For over 20 years, Bishop Waldon has not only supported but also been facilitator of the Shoal Creek B.T.U. and Sunday School Congress. It was through this convention that many of the foundational stones of his Christian walk were laid. On the State level Bishop was a certified staff members of the New Era Congress of Christian Education, a division of the New Era Baptist Convention of Georgia and P.N.B.C. On October 13,2002, God ordained and birthed a new ministry, Cathedral of Hope, "The Church That teaches; There Is A Light At The End Of Every Tunnel." God has given a mandate to change the community and the world with the unadulterated truth of His Word. God birthed a ministry that is not afraid to teach the Word as He has ordained it to be taught. Cathedral is a church that is set forth to dispel all false doctrine and heresy. Cathedral has been birthed to reach the unchurched, those who have been tossed to the side by the traditional church and insensitive ministries. As God aids Bishop Waldon, lives will be touched and God’s kingdom will blossom. In 2005, Bishop Waldon was elected International Presiding Bishop of the Maranatha Faith Fellowship.
