Lockport United Church of Christ

About Us

Wherever you are on life's journey, you're welcomed here.

Lockport United Church of Christ is the result of the 2002 consolidation of two UCC congregations: St. Peter's and Plymouth Congregational United Churches of Christ. These congregations date back to 1861 and 1838, respectively. We are a member congregation of the United Church of Christ, a denomination that has a history of being progressive on social issues. As such, we believe that God is still speaking in the world today, and that we should never place a period where God has placed a comma.

Our Services

Sunday
10:30am
Worship in main sanctuary.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Casual, relaxed within the framework of a traditional liturgy. Sermons will often take a more creative presentation in the form of first person Bible narrative preaching.

What is the community like?
The church community is social and engaging. We don't stand on protocol here, but prefer personal interaction in and outside of worship.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are welcomed here and your background is respected and honored. We use Sunday bulletins as a means of getting people involved, especially those who may be unfamiliar with our worship and fellowship.
