About Us

Encouraging and equipping believers to make disciples, one home at a time.

Our roots go way back to 1954 when a small, but determined group of Christ-followers saw the need for a solid, Biblically-based church in Wauconda. They especially desired to create a church that would meet the needs of children and teens, which is still true today.

When Life Bridge Community Church (formerly Evangelical Free Church of Wauconda) began, the community was a sleepy rural resort town known for its beaches and area orchard. Today, Wauconda is a suburb on the northwestern edge of Chicago’s urban sprawl yet we still maintain our “small, resort town feel.”

Today we are even more dedicated to helping people, especially families, experience life-change through a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. Our passion is to take the good news of Jesus Christ to the city and world.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our Sunday gatherings are a time where we get to celebrate what God is doing in and through our lives and hear from his Word. Typically, you’ll hear contemporary songs with a touch of re-mixed, great classic hymns of faith. Following our time of worship through song, we’ll dig into God’s word. We deeply value scripture and its relevance to our lives – for a sample of our teaching, visit our resource page and download a recent message. If you are worried about being new, don’t be. We’re not going to point you out or ask you to stand up – we want you to feel like friends we haven’t met yet.

What is the community like?
At Life Bridge there is something for everyone in your family. We have two identical worship services, with quality children’s programming during each service. Between our worship services on Sunday we have Sunday School for children and students, and Community Groups that meet at the church. They run from 9:45-10:45 AM. During the week we have something for all ages! Monday Night Clubs, seniors Bible study, youth group, prayer meetings, women's Bible studies and more! Visit our website for more information.

What if I'm not a Christian?
The Story The Creation: In the beginning, God created everything to be perfect. There was no sickness, disease, or sadness. Everything lived in harmony. The Fall: Man rebelled against a loving God and believed Satan's lie. Sin entered into the world and into every human heart. Everything is now distorted and broken. Everyone is guilty before God. The Rescue: Jesus, who is God, came to rescue people by His life, death and resurrection. By faith alone in Him, anyone can have their sins forgiven and enjoy eternal life with Him. The Restoration: God will restore everything to the way that it was supposed to be, and those who trust in Jesus will get to enjoy eternity with God in the new heaven and new earth.
