• My love for this church and Brother Martin go back several years. My beloved mother in law Sister Scooter put my wife and I on the call list of Lena UPC when I was so lost but thought I had the world by the tail. I am an alcoholic and I drank every day. If I wasn’t working I was drinking. My family suffered from my addiction, not without my knowledge but more accurately, without my acknowledgment. But every Wednesday night when the church would call with Bible study. I would feel the conviction that I was not living right. Brother Martins voice and study of scripture was the light in my darkness. And I owe him and Jesus my life as it is today. Thank you
