    Andrew Rosencrans

The Reverend Andrew L. Rosencrans, D. Min. Pulpit Supply I am grateful to have been given the privilege of serving as the pastor of this church. My own faith is rooted in the conviction that the God whose grace has claimed me is a God who has done marvelous things and who has marvelous things yet to do. As a student of the Bible, I read the stories which witness to a God who is actively at work in the world, and whose love for all people found its fullest expression in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. At a more personal level, I have seen the ways in which God is still present in our world: I have witnessed examples of God's Spirit continuing to touch people's lives and change people's hearts; I have seen first-hand the new life which God's power has brought into places and situations where new life would not have seemed possible; and I have experienced (often in surprising ways) God's blessings in my own life. I do not have all the answers to the often complex questions with which life so often confronts us, but because of what I do know to be true, I am convinced that the Church of Jesus Christ has good news to share, and I am comforted by the assurance that ours is a God who does not fail. I was ordained in 1989 and earned my Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary in 1999. I currently serve as a full-time chaplain at Lake Forest Place/Presbyterian Homes. My wife, the Rev. Emily Rosencrans, is also a Presbyterian minister serving as the chaplain at the Northwest Lake Forest Hospital. She and I have three children; Anne, Sarah, and John.
