It’s an open space for individuals to come and allow God into their hearts. I believe it was formed on the basis of everyone being entitled to a new life, free from the treacherous pasts, which they created. However, I am not sure that the pastors and the team are aware that one of their very active members who has gone from, constantly helping other members, to participating in getting the youth group running successfully, to teaching a men’s group is still living a foul life. And, that mostly everything he does is a cover for who he really is. Even his record shows deception, since his membership began. I cannot think of another way to warn people, especially unsuspecting female members, who could be susceptible to his deceitful intentions, towards them. He has actually taken the required time and convinced various people, including me that he has changed from his past but, the continuous length of his criminal record still reflects exactly who he is and what he is still willing to do to other people, as long as there will be no paper trail, for proof of another crime. I am just now starting to get over the things he got away with doing to me, for nearly 4 years, and it’s been 5yrs since I was finally able to get him to leave me alone, with threats of prosecution.

My husband and I first visited LNLC in May 2010 and we have been here ever since. When we first came, my husband was very attracted to the preaching style and I really loved the worship. It was a great fit for us because we were in our mid 20's and there are a lot of young adults that go here. But, the thing I love about LNLC is how diverse it is! It is very multi-cultural and multi-generational. The people here are so real, and so loving. We have not just found a church, we have found a family. We have really grown in our walk with Christ while being here. We now have our own young adult small group that meets bi-weekly. We are also running the Let's Love Lakewood ministry where we focus on missions work right here in the city of Lakewood. LNLC does a lot of outreach. We really love this community!
