About Us

A friendly home open to all

Immanuel UMC is a small but vibrant church working to developing disciples of Jesus Christ. We share our building with two ethnic congregation: Kenosha Korean United Methodist and Principe de Paz United Methodist (a Spanish speaking church). We have a passion for social justice ministries. Opening our doors three nights a week for the homeless and serving at the local soup kitchen. We offer a traditional but Spirit filled worship service. Children and adult Christian education opportunities are available.

What to Expect

What are services like?
The services are traditional in style. The songs are a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. The singing is led by a concert trained pianist who is lively and can be spontaneous when the Spirit leads her to be. The services are led by Pastor Bonnie. A friendly and loving person. Three or four times a year we have multilingual services where English, Korean, Spanish and the Word of God is spoken. The services have been described as a little taste of heaven. Immanuel's services are open to all.

What is the community like?
Immanuel is a small group of mostly active adults. If you are a guest you usually will be ask what kind of bread you like by a faithful member who bakes loaves of fresh bread to give out. Immanuel has a heart for social justice issues and the needs of the less fortunate. Immanuel has a relationship with a Korean church and Spanish speaking church that share are building. We open our doors to the homeless three nights a week to give them a safe place to rest. We strive to make Immanuel a friendly home open to all.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Immanuel United Methodist Churches doors are open to all who are seeking or curious about a relationship with Jesus the Christ. You will not be beaten over the head with doctrine. Each person is treated with kindness and respect. Once a month we celebrate communion. You do not have to be a member of Immanuel or a member of the United Methodist Church to partake in the meal. Immanuel strives to be a friendly community open to all where they can grow, serve and love.
