What people say about Hyman Chapel

• As I am tracing my family's genealogy, Hyman Chapel continues to surface periodically starting with my great, great, great grad father Arnett Dove born 1801 in Harlowe. My father was Alvin Dove, his father was Arnett Dove born 1862, through Jacob Dove born 1836 to Arnett Dove born 1801 or 1810. When I was a small boy, my father would visit his sister Goldie Dove Armstrong (their land was located adjacent to Cherry Point) and there was a small white church right across the highway by a cemetery. My father would speak very highly about that church. Because of my father, I felt a connection to the church even though I never attended what I believed to be Hyman Chapel. I feel a spiritual presence when I visualize the little white church.
