The ad they placed in the Cochise Trading Post newspaper, states, 'Tired of being broke?' Come worship with us let's find new path.
I take great offense to this as during Covid many of us are tired of being broke from the pandemic and are struggling to eat. They are soliciting emotional ad's in the newspaper just to get people in their Church to pay for it. I called and asked for the person who is in charge of their media and the woman said that it was her. I very nicely explained that I was offended with the newspaper posting and tried to explain that during Covid with people being in such turmoil that using that word tired of being "broke" is only a ploy to get people into their Church. The women rudely said that there's many different meanings to the word broke and I told her that was a play on words and she should be ashamed.
If she really meant broken ie, Are you broken? The word broken not broke would have been used. Sad they prey on people in a sinister play on words game. SHAME ON YOU.
