Phillip Youngblood

My name is Phillip Youngblood, and I am the new pastor of Hooper’s Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Lawrence Rhodes was the pastor at Hooper’s Creek for 47 years. May 18th, 2012, he went home to be with the Lord. Pastor Rhodes was not just the pastor at the Church; but he was also my grandfather. We miss him! I am proud of my heritage and God has miraculously placed me here to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God has blessed me with a wonderful family. My wife, Shasha, and I got married in 2000, we have three children: Cassidy, MaryGrace and Zachary. We live in Henderson County; we love to go camping, and on occasion get to go to the Lake. I thank God for a Church where people are excited about serving, celebrating, and praising Jesus Christ. Come worship with us as we move forward, “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our Faith.” If you are looking for a church where there is old-fashioned singing and the Word of God is preached, we would love to have you.
