What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer a variety of worship styles, from traditional Communion, which we celebrate twice a month, to more contemporary, informal services which we celebrate the remaining weeks. Our focus in all our services is on worshiping God by offering praise and thanksgiving through word and sacrament.

What is the community like?
Elbert County has a population of 20,000. Our main industry, and by far the largest provider of jobs, is the granite industry. We are fortunate to be located in an older, very historic section of the city of Elberton, but we are by no means a "neighborhood" church. We welcome members and guests from throughout the town and the surrounding counties.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome here. We welcome the opportunity to share with you the love of God made known to us in his Son Jesus. Come and see.

Pastor Phil is a graduate of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC. He has a passion for sharing God's love with people, and is particularly gifted in the areas of pastoral care and discipleship development.
