What to Expect

What are services like?
The Hillside community gathers at 9:30am and 11am every Sunday morning. You can expect good upbeat music, thought provoking teaching that will challenge and inspire you, and a community of people that will welcome you with a smile. Most weeks follow a similar pattern: music, an offering, a talk, communion (1st & 2nd Sundays of the month), and coffee. We have two parking lots; if the upper lot is full there is additional parking across the street. A shuttle will be available to take you up the hill.

What is the community like?
Hillside is a diverse group of people from all across Marin County. Some have been Christians for years; others are trying to decide if they even believe in a God. You will see a lot of families and lots of kids. But what most people notice is that everyone is smiling! What you won’t find is a bunch of people pretending to be perfect with a holier-than-thou attitude. This is a group of people becoming, a group of people with hope and joy.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You will be most welcome! We're used to having people attend who are on a journey of discovery about Jesus and where he fits in their lives. Each week we listen to a talk given by one of our pastors. The talks are interesting, relevant, challenging, inspiring, and always seek to relate our 21st century lives to the timeless truths of God and His love. To get an idea of what the talks are like you can listen to past ones online.
