Highland Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, missionary Baptist Church that still believes in walking in the old paths. Our desire is to be a 1st Century Church in a 21st Century world. Our goal is to worship, exalt, serve, teach, and preach the Lord Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world in order to fulfill the Great Commission of spreading the Gospel. Come and join us for a service and we think you will find a friendly, welcoming atmosphere to worship and grow in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Byron Chesney
Pastor
Pastor Byron Chesney is a native of East, TN. He trusted the Lord Jesus as his Savior in 1972 while attending Vacation Bible School. In 1985, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Seaton Chesney. The Chesney family has 3 children and a beagle. Pastor Byron has served the Lord in the ministry for over 30-years in various Churches as a Music Minister, Teacher, Preacher, and Pastor. In 2011 he was called as Senior Pastor at Highland Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. He earned his Master's Degree in Ministry from The Crown College and Seminary in Powell, TN and a Doctorate in Theology from Andersonville Baptist Seminary.
