Harvest Christian Fellowship

About Us

Knowing God and Making Him Known

Harvest's beginnings were humble. There was no great strategy behind the church plant. Harvest's pastor, Greg Laurie, was a part of the Jesus People movement in the late 1960's and was sent out, by his home church, to lead a Bible study in Riverside when he was 19 years old. This Bible study soon outgrew the facility it was meeting in and became a church when it moved to its current location on Arlington Avenue.

Today, God continues to work through Harvest Christian Fellowship. "Looking back," says Pastor Greg, "I can see God's hand at work from the very beginning. It has always been a part of God's plan for us to know Him and make Him known. I encourage you to do the same."

What to Expect

What are services like?
Atmosphere At Harvest, you will experience friendly people, cutting-edge worship music, and relevant messages, in a comfortable environment. We want to make you feel as welcome as possible. If you would like to view a past service for an indication of what to expect, you can do so by visiting our webcast archives. A Typical Service Services begin with an announcement video to let you know what is happening around Harvest. This video is followed by two or three worship songs, and then a prayer or Bible reading by one of our pastors. An offering is then received. (As a visitor you will not be asked or expected to give an offering. You are our guest!) After another song or two, Pastor Greg (or a guest speaker) will give a message designed to help you apply biblical principles to everyday life. This message will be about 45-50 minutes in length. At the end of the message there will be a closing song. You are welcome to talk to or pray with one of our pastors or staff after the service. How to Dress We invite you to dress casually and comfortably. You'll fit right in. After all, the Bible tells us that God is more concerned with our hearts than He is with how we dress or look (1 Samuel 16:7).

What is the community like?
At Harvest, our mission statement is "Knowing God and making Him known." We are committed to bringing people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, assisting them to maturity in the Christian faith, and equipping all believers to share the gospel message with as many as will listen

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you do not yet know Jesus Christ in a personal way, or have questions about what it means to be a follower of Jesus, we invite you to talk with one of our staff, or visit KnowGod.org. We want to assist you in whatever way we can.

Happened to read the comment above here. Talking about the old times of Tuesday now you at All Saints Episcopal Church. Indeed a more innocent time a moor sincere time. I remember Mustard Seed Faith and to all of those bands that used to play at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa in the tents. Yeah we go way back. Seems like something changed as harvest became Harvest. I remember couples that I knew who started attending. And taught that they had found a church home. Only to be told not to come back. Because they were gay. Certainly doesn't seem like the message of Jesus that I once heard of. And then to see you in the Rose Garden at the White House both spreading covid, which I know you had and I see you recovered. And embracing such a patently evil man. It's a disappointment. As the shortest verse in the Bible says. Jesus wept.

Hi Greg (this is addressed to Greg)…I remember first meeting you when you were preaching at All Saints Episcopalian church by the hospital in Riverside in the early ‘70s. I remember you saying you looked more like Lonnie Frisbie than Lonnie did, lol. Those were some innocent days…ahh. I remember when Evelyn babysat Christopher when you went to the PTL (?) studio for an interview. I’m so sorry he was taken from you so young. :-( One time when I was an usher at the theater at Tyler Mall you and I spoke before Bambi started to play—you went alone to see it again. The projectionist narked on me and I got in trouble with my lead for that, lol. What happened? Trump?!? Failed the “what would Jesus do” test. Its one thing for God to use evil men for His purpose, but quite another for The Church to embrace an unrepentant wicked man.
