About Us

R.I.S.E. (Reach out, Inspire Others, Serve, Embrace Diversity)

We have a wonderful opportunity to be a part of a larger purpose in a faith that is 2000 years old. We provide a safe support system where families can bring their hearts and heads into a place of spiritual healing. They can draw upon leadership that is grounded in the present and open minded to the future and to where God might lead. "We embrace all kinds of communities and new modes of thinking. Why? Because God is still speaking." UCC.org

What to Expect

What are services like?
Services start at 10am and are traditional in style with hints of a contemporary feel. Wonderful Children's Message before they go out for Sunday School during the main part of the service. Nursery care provided. The Teen Haven, which is a very active youth group, takes part in leading service once a month as well. They have done skits and plays that have been very enjoyable.

What is the community like?
Casual and friendly congregation from all walks of life and from various religious backgrounds. Coffee hour culminates the service for socializing with brunch served the last Sunday of the month to all who come. Theology Book Group meets once a month and open to everyone. Knit Wits Too is a group that makes knit items for our outreach charities. "Among Friends" is our adult group that gets together to socialize once a month and have fun. Teen Haven our youth group is very active with fun events, service projects and retreats. The church welcomes various community groups to use the building during the week as one way to serve the community.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome to our GPCC church home! All who walk through the doors are part of our family and free to take communion. We have a joint Jewish/Christian Thanksgiving Service every year which is a wonderful way to bring in the holidays. Your faith walk is your personal journey, but it is nice to share the road. God Bless!
