My name is Rev. Geraldine Miller. I am appointed pastor of Greater Bethel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, Deerfield Beach, Florida, under the leadership of the Eleventh Episcopal District Bishop,
The Right Reverend Adam Jefferson Richardson, Jr. and Mrs. Connie S. Richardson, Supervisor. I serve in the Central District of the South Conference under the leadership team of Vincent F. Mitchell, Presiding Elder and Magdalene Mitchell, District Consultant.
You are welcome to visit. If you are without a church home, please consider Greater Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Deerfield Beach, Fl. We are striving to be the "Church at Work in Unity, performing "Intentional Ministry".
As a retired educator, my belief has always been that all students can and will learn, if and when given the skills and opportunity to do so. Many times the challenges of life tend to hinder that belief. However, regardless of the learning barriers, faith , work and persistence prevail. The students' capabilities and desire to achieve are of upmost importance. Yet , as an educator, one must be true, patient, kind, willing to suffer, possess faith and be willing to learn as well as teach.
I have learned and continue to learn as a pastor, the same beliefs, challenges and skills are of upmost necessity in ministry . All people can learn the Word of God. Additionally, all people can be saved by faith in The Holy Trinity, regardless of life's challenges, hindrances, trails, tribulations, joys and/ or successes. I believe in the General Confession recorded in The Discipline of The African Methodist Episcopal Church. I am learning that love covers a multitude of sins. I believe God has no respect of person. Therefore, neither should I. Lastly, forgive as soon as possible and continue life's journey praying and trusting God.
There are many scriptures I depend on, it is difficult to limit a favorite. John 3:16, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" (KJV). Psalms 51 and Romans 8 are my personal essentials.
