  • It is possible that Grandfield Lutheran Church might have records or are aware of the burial sites of my great grandfather, Sven Gustaf Erickson and great grandmother Carolina Ulrika Svensdotter. They, with their 7 children emigrated from Jonkoping County Sweden on 3-20-1881. They were among the first settlers in Grandfield township. Sven became a successful farmer and built a large frame home that might even still be standing. Sven died on 9-22-12 at age 75 and Carolina died on 9-24-28 at age 86. The both had been active in community and church affairs in Grandfield township. I'd appreciate it if you have any information about these great grandparents of mine. I'm 82 and have six children, 16 grandchildren and now one two year old great granddaughter. It would be nice to pass on this information to them.
