    Scott Tuttle

Pastor Scott has been the lead pastor of WellSpring since 2002, but that’s not where he started. Fresh out of Life Bible College, he pioneered the first of three youth groups, and has been involved in nearly every aspect of church ministry in the ensuing years. As borne out by his years in ministry, Scott’s passion is the church. His life is about being part of fulfilling God’s purposes in the church and being there to help her grow. Scott appreciates the fact that God is always at work, even when it doesn’t look like it. He loves that God doesn’t take people halfway across the tightrope of life and leave them there; God is always faithful. This belief comes from one of his life verses... Philippians 1:6: And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. Some other interesting things... When and how did Jesus become real to you? I opened my heart to Jesus at a Christian concert in 7th grade. At the end of the concert they gave an invitation to follow Jesus and even though I grew up in church I had never personally given my life to Him. That night I realized I needed the Lord's forgiveness and love in my life. What do you do at Wellspring? I am the lead pastor. So I'm involved in most things. But truth is, I have a fantastic team of people that I couldn't do what I do without them. What is your most memorable moment at Wellspring? There really are too many to recount. Beside my family, WellSpring is the biggest part of my life. So over the past 25 years I have so many unbelievably great moments... and some hard ones. But the Lord has blessed my life with all of them. What’s the best thing about serving at Wellspring? The best part is serving along those I love and care about. WellSpring is my family and so to be part of and serve in a place filled with some of my best friends is amazing and an incredible blessing. Who are the biggest influences in your life? Many from years ago during my formative years. But more recently there are a few that stand out... Pastor Russ Davis, Pastor Wayne Cordeiro and a few close friends. What do you do to have fun? Hang out with my wife and kids. I like having friends over to the house to enjoy the backyard. I am always happy to be at the beach or anywhere near the ocean. Love to play golf. Great food! I love to listen to music, preferably live. And when I can get my wife to take a ride with me in my convertible... well, that's a great day! Favorite book, movie or music? Books: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, Prodigal God, Leading on Empty, The Leader's Journey, Hinds Feet on High Places and of course the Bible. Movies: Lord of the Rings. Music: Andy Grammer, Dave Barnes, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Josh Wilson, bunch of old school stuff and I really enjoy a good worship mp3. Most any live music is great! What is your favorite food? No question sushi and any kind of mexican food. But a good swordfish or salmon are pretty good too. How do you like your coffee? Anyway I can get it. Truth be known I'm a bit of a coffee snob. I like a 16 oz double cuped Americano with non-fat foam and a splash, yes splash of non-fat milk. Preferably from CoolBeans! What is your favorite “small indulgence”? Small, I don't know; but vacations! What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done? I can't tell you that, I'm the lead pastor. It might destroy any last bit of credibility I still have. What is your most favorite day of the week & why? I have reasons to like most days, but one in particular is Friday, because it is my sabbath. I set this day aside for the Lord and enjoying my relationship with Him. What is your favorite board game? Don't have one. I like Texas Hold'em though. Name 3 Adjectives that best describe you? Loyal, Dependable and Relational
