Praise and Worship

Our Services

What are services like?
All that our worship is, all that it’s for, is ultimately the Lord’s glory. He has given us life, He has reconciled us to Him, He has provided His Son as our Savior and Lord. Our coming together on Sundays is to acknowledge these truths and exalt Him with surrendered hearts and minds as we praise Him in song and learn from Him through the preaching of His Word. So—are we about you, and us, and the audience? Well, in a sense no—we’re about God and giving Him the honor due His name. But in another sense, yes, we are about you in that we invite you to join us in the praise and celebration of who our God is and what His word says to us. We have prayerfully designed our worship service to tune our hearts and attention to the Lord. Our music is classic in feel, but contemporary in style. Our preaching is God-exalting in content, but life-changing in effect. Our fellowship is Spirit-led in atmosphere and encouraging in action. We invite you to come, join us and be a part of God’s revival on the Jersey Shore. Our service is Sunday at 10:30 AM. Nursery and Children's Ministry is available.

What is the community like?
“What is Grace Tabernacle about anyway?” our name tells a lot about who we are. First we’re about grace, that is, God’s grace towards us. We care a lot about making sure we understand and teach God’s grace clearly and accurately. God’s grace means that though we are all sinners, and though we all have rebelled against Him, by His grace we can be reconciled to Him through the righteous life, death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. You’ve probably also noticed that word “tabernacle” in our name. The word “tabernacle” was used in the Old Testament to speak of the dwelling place of God. It symbolized God’s protection, blessing and communion with His people. That's what we hope for our church family too! We at Grace Tabernacle want to focus on the blessed grace and presence of God, not only in our church, but in every moment of our lives! Come on out and join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in our new facility in Wall Township—or spend some time on our website and get to know us—we look forward to meeting you!

What if I'm not a Christian?
Are you not really a "church going" kind of person? Lots of people feel like they don't belong in church because it's only a place for religious people. That's not us! We want you to know that there is absolutely a home for you at Grace Tabernacle! In fact, nearly all of church family didn’t grow up going to a church like ours—we're all in the same boat you are! That's why we don't get hung-up on things like old rituals and empty traditions. You’ll find our service pretty natural and straight-forward—we come together to experience a relationship with God through music, biblical instruction, fellowship and service. This attitude spills over into our church life too. There are all kinds of ways to get plugged in here (check out our Getting Plugged In page) and we encourage you to look around this site and get a sense about how you can fit into the work God is doing here at Grace!
