Who We Are

The church was born in 1911 and has had a tremendous legacy of community and international missions for over 100 years.
You may be asking, "Is the church still relevant in our post-modern society"? I want to tell you that it is just as relevant today as it has ever been, maybe more so. The church is not simply a building that people come to, in order to meet once a week or for weddings and funerals, rather it is the community of believers in Jesus Christ who gather together to worship him and extend his love to our community.
Grace Point has a well known legacy of being a loving family that displays the light and life of the Gospel message. Our goal is to teach the Bible with relevance and clarity for our generation and that we would continue to be a church that cares for the families and individuals in our community.
We would love to have you visit us, and I know you will be warmly embraced and cared for by all of our members.
He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. Colossians 1:18

Our Services

What are services like?
The services at Grace Point are contemporary and relevant. The services usually last about 60 to 70 minutes and includes singing, prayer, and a sermon that is based on the Bible. A separate children's worship is provided for elementary age children as well as nursery care for preschool children.

What is the community like?
The 64137 zip code in which the church campus sits is a mixed race neighborhood of moderate income families. The campus sets, however, near the border of two other very different zip code areas having a wide spread of both economic and racial demographics.

What if I'm not a Christian?
One of the compliments that our church continues to receive from those who visit is that they have rarely been in a church where they felt so warmly welcomed. This church will seek to help guests feel comfortable. First time guests are invited to receive a special gift which they can pick up at the welcome desk following worship. The church provides Bible study classes called Life Fellowship Groups for all ages (nursery through adult) every Sunday at 9 a.m. and those who are not Christians are warmly invited to take part in a class of his or her choice.
