About Us

We are a small United Methodist Church in the Lyman/Dayton, Maine area, but we have parishioners from towns all around who attend. Our Sunday school is growing, and we have begun some new outreach ministry through our Hearts and Hands group as well as vegetable gardens for the food pantry in York County. We continue to grow in God's grac and share generously with others to the best of our ability, and we nurture each other as well as reach out to the communities and world around us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
A combination of casual and structured. We sing lots of music, pray, involve the children and laity in leading, and we hear the scriptures with the preaching based on scripture. Friendly, interactive, and fun.

What is the community like?
A wide variety of ages, with new young families coming in regularly. Our Sunday school started with about three children in 2007 and has grown to 12 - 20 with Sunday school held during worship. The towns of Lyman and Dayton are in farm country with dairy farms, horse farms, and sod farms all around. Many families have been here for generations.

What if I'm not a Christian?
EVERYONE is welcome in our church, and we encourage exploration and seeking of God's love and grace in people's lives. We also encourage asking questions and discussion on hard issues so people can seek for themselves where they are in their faith journeys and ways in which they can grow in faith.
