Pastor

Dawna M. Gray serves as the pastor of Free Spirit Worship Church in Virginia Beach, VA. Pastor Gray was called by God into ministry in 1976. Since that time, she has faithfully served the local church by encouraging spiritual maturity in the members through prayer, preaching, teaching, counseling and service opportunities. Throughout the years, Pastor Gray has been a guest speaker at many local churches. Pastor Gray has always served as an excellent model of the Word of God in action. Her strong leadership, uncompromising coaching and counseling skills and motherly disposition encourages each man, woman and youth she encounters to achieve the full destiny God has planned for them. Pastor Dawna has been married to Jesse Gray Jr. for over 35 years and has four adult children. Before being called to full-time ministry and homemaking, she worked in matters of finance and accounting for local retail stores. She is praised by her family as the modern version of the woman described in Proverbs 31. Pastor Dawna is no stranger to the challenges faced by women in today’s society, but she constantly exemplifies how those challenges are overcome by faith, love and a commitment to God and living out His Word.
