    Alan Bosmeny

Pastor Alan Bosmeny is a native of the State of Florida, having spent most of his childhood in Titusville, as the son of a NASA photographer. He was called by God into the ministry while working in the medical profession's radiological field, after graduating from The Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Sciences. He went on to the University of Central Florida, acquiring his Master's in Education, while serving as Assistant Clinical Professor. At the same time, he was completing course work for his ordination at Berean University. During this period of a heavy course load and teaching, he also served as Youth Pastor at Community Christian Assembly at Pierson, Florida. Pastor Bosmeny then went on to serve as Assistant Pastor at First Assembly of God in Deland, Florida, where he was also Dean of the Deland Bible School, and interim Pastor from 1979 through 1986. In 1986, he became founding Pastor of Spotsylvania Assembly of God in Virginia. As it's Senior Pastor for 11 years, he saw the church membership grow from 10 to 415. He accepted the position of Lead Pastor here at Five Rivers in the Fall of 1997. Reverend Bosmeny's philosophy of ministry is to be a model and mentor; an example to those in and beyond the fellowship of the church. He believes in facilitating and equipping others, and in helping them to discover their own gifts. He is committed to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission spoken by the Lord, and in fulfilling these commands through worship, evangelism, prayer, and discipleship, and ministry. Pastor Alan and his very supportive wife, Donna, have two sons Ryan and Jordan.
