What to Expect

What are services like?
If you are looking for a more traditional Methodist experience come to our 8:15 am service where we sing from the hymnals, you can hear the pipe organ, and our choir. The last Sunday of the month our Worship Players Band perform. If you are interested in a more modern feel - we have that too! Our 11:00 am service offers a Praise Team Band complete with contemporary songs and an electric guitar toting Pastor! Whichever your style, we are happy to have you come worship with us. No matter your preference the message is the same! And join us for the first Sunday of the month to share in Holy Communion - ALL are welcome at God's table.

What is the community like?
First Church is comprised of such a diverse community and it is something that we love about our congregation because it shows that Jesus' love has no bounds. We have families that have been attending the church for generations as well as members who have are new to the area or new to the church! If you have never stepped foot in a church or trying to find your new church family this is the place to come. The people are friendly, always involved in community out reach, and ready to share the good news with those who are ready to listen!

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are in luck! You do not have to be a Christian to attend services at First UMC! First Church's doors are open to everyone who has a desire to know Jesus Christ. The first step is coming to a service, either the 8:15 or 11:00. We recommend attending one of each to see which service feels right for you. We also offer many opportunities to deepen your understanding of Jesus Christ through bible studies, missions, Vacation Bible School, and various other ways to serve the community.
