Deborah O'Connor-Slater

has been serving as the Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Delmar since July of 2011. Her primary areas of focus include administrative oversight, leading worship and preaching, leadership development, and teaching. Prior to her appointment Rev. Deborah was the Director of Transitional Ministry for the Upper New York Annual Conference. She has served as a District Superintendent and a local church pastor since her entry into ordained ministry in 1981. When not at church Rev. Deborah likes to read mystery novels, knit, walk, and spend time with her children and granddaughter at her Oneida River cottage. She is married to Rev. Alan D. Kinney and lives in Schenectady, NY.
