What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer three different opportunities for worship. Beginnings is at 8:30am each Sunday morning and is a more intimate service of word and table. Our traditional worship, the Sanctuary, is held at 11:00am. This service follows the traditional UMC liturgy and uses hymns led by the organ and choir as a means of worship. Our modern worship service, The Loft, is also held at 11:00am. This service is more casual and features more modern worship styles and practices.

What is the community like?
First Church is a diverse community--you can find both black and white, liberal and conservative, gay and straight, able-bodied and disabled, young and old, families with children and single young adults, and everything in between. We love to see new faces and welcome everyone into our doors with open arms.

You are welcome here and are always invited to ask questions, find community, and experience the love of God.
