Located in Norman Rockwell America, we seek to be a supportive family of God for people of diverse backgrounds and opinions. We offer an afterschool program for children during the school year and adult Bible study all year round. Join us on the first Saturday of each month for a well-attended morning coffee fellowship.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are traditional with gospel singing. We are particularly proud of our pianist, Jack Ness, who brings a lifetime of professional performance to our worship. We have a small amateur choir that welcomes new joyful singers. Children are welcome in worship. Our 19th century church building was considered an architectural innovation when it was built in 1892 with wooden walls, beautiful stain glass windows and a vaulted ceiling with large wooden beams and remains a subject of historical interest today, gathering many comments for its beautiful design.

Sheffield is the place that people want to raise their children and retire to. It is a safe clean community where people have known and cared for each other for decades. First United Church of Christ have brought that Norman Rockwell feel into their walls with a commitment to diversity, love, and understanding.
