About Us

The First Christian Church of Dawson Springs, Kentucky is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination. The purpose of this church is to proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ as revealed in the New Testament, to win people to faith in Jesus Christ, to commit them actively to the church, to help them grow in grace and knowledge of the church, and to guide them to do His will.

What to Expect

What are services like?
The Sunday morning worship service is a traditional service with prayer, scripture, sermon, hymn singing, special music, and communion and offertory. There are some contemporary music pieces being sung on special occasions and multimedia is being used as appropriate.

What is the community like?
The church community is close-knit and family-oriented. It is a friendly church of all ages. Sunday School is offered for those who desire additional study of the Bible. There is an active Disciples Women group which meets once each month.
