Dr. Ronny Marriott Senior Pastor

We welcome Dr. Ronny Marriott as he begins his ministry as senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Temple. Dr. Marriott comes most recently from First Baptist, Corpus Christi, where he served as senior pastor. With degrees from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, he has also served churches in Hurst, Dripping Springs, and Dallas. In his personal statement, Dr. Marriott says, “I am confident that the Lord called me to serve as shepherd to a local body of believers. My training, along with my experience, has strengthened my ability and my desire to serve the Lord and His people. My first priority is to draw closer to God, only then will I be effective in leadership, evangelism, worship and discipleship. My second priority as pastor is to help people trust Jesus and grow in their faith.”
