David Tarkington

David has served on the pastoral staff at First Baptist Church since 1993. He was born in Paris, Tennessee. His father served for over twenty years in the US Air Force. Therefore, David moved around the nation as a child calling Alaska, Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Ohio home at different times. David is married to Tracy and they have two children, Ashley and Daniel. David is a graduate of the University of North Texas and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. David has served as the Moderator for the Jacksonville Baptist Association inthe past and currently serves as leader of the JBA's Expand Team.
