What to Expect

What are services like?
We worship at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings. You’ll experience band-driven worship led by Robert Comeaux, our Minister of Worship, along with our Celebration Choir most weeks. We sing modern songs of worship along with updated arrangements of hymns recreated in a new way to allow the songs of our faith to be sung in a way that is relevant to today’s society. Pastor David Crosby brings the message each week in a way that challenges us and inspires us to live out faith in Jesus in a fresh way. Our main focus is that you would come in and be a part of worshiping God, singing to the audience of one, while experiencing life-changing fellowship and a challenging message.

What is the community like?
FBNO is a warm and friendly church that is made up of people from many different walks of life. We are a diverse congregation, regularly adding to our membership people from all over the world. New Orleans attracts people from around the world, so our church is changing with our city. This gives us greater opportunity to reach beyond our walls to serve. The Care Effect is our local outreach that allows us to feed the homeless, teach people English in ESL classes, tutor young people in need, and meet other needs of our community. The community outreach aspect of our church is often a pleasant surprise to visitors to our church. We hope you'll come and get involved in sharing Christ's love with our city.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you've got questions, we'd love to talk with you. If you're uncomfortable coming to our church, check out our live webcast on Sunday mornings or look through our sermon archive online to see what we're about. You can come here just the way you are, and you don't need to feel pressure to get things together in your life before coming to church. We hope to see you here!
