T. Bryson Smith

My name is Bryson Smith. I’ve been serving as the Pastor with Fieldstone since June 2008. I thought I was going to be a history teacher and not to sound cliché, but these days, I teach a whole new history. And I’m learning a whole lot more than I ever knew I would. I graduated from Ferrum College in 1998 and earned my Master’s Of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. in 2002. I’ve committed myself to being a lifelong learner, but will admit sometimes I get tired of reading! I love seeing people come to know the story of God in a deeper way. It’s there in those moments that God continues the work started long ago. I believe the Holy Spirit is working on us and in us, pressing us to “punch holes in the darkness” every moment we can. I’ve been married to Lori since 2000 and we have one son named Jackson. He was born in 2003. We enjoy watching movies, taking walks, playing UNO, and making homemade pizza! Actually we enjoy most things!
