About Us

Building Families on the Word of God

We are a small, family-oriented body of believers who place a premium value on the Word of God. Though we are generally "baptistic" in our doctrine, we are determined to keep the Bible as the standard for our faith and practice - not church tradition or ecclesiatical trends. Our desire is to express our faith in the one true God - Who has revealed Himself in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - through a love for Him (with all of our heart, soul and mind) and His Word (hiding it in our hearts, teaching it to our children and modeling it in our lives), and to share that faith with those we meet. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Matthew 5:14-16; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

What to Expect

What are services like?
The focus of our worship service is to glorify God and edify the saints. The 1st Sunday of each month, we incorporate a commemoration of the Lord's Supper (communion). The other Sundays, we have a "Testimony Time" to facilitate the members of the body sharing what God is doing in their lives and teaching them. We seek to encourage Bible memorization as well; hence, we have a short time given to corporate memory. Hymns/Songs are from the hymnal or words printed on a handout (or on the screen). The messages are from an expository approach and are accompanied with a visual presentation; additionally sermon note sheets are available. Additionally, many of our families choose to have their children participate in the worship service - including the teaching time; however, we do have nursery and toddler-church available as needed.

What is the community like?
We are blend of believers - "generationally", "socially" and "racially." Our desire is to encourage real and genuine fellowship in the body. The greek word for fellowship is koinonia - which literally meant having things in common (all for one and one for all!) Hence, we seek to offer opportunities to facilitate this oneness and genuineness.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We would encourage you to come and learn from God's Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. We believe that God desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth and draws the individual through His Word. It is the responsibility of the individual to respond to that truth. Hence, our desire is not to judge the unbeliever (each believer was at one time an unbeliever) but rather to love them and help faclitate them learning God's truth so that they can make their own decision.
