What to Expect

What are services like?
Upon entering the church, often times you will be greeted by several people eager to welcome you to our church. Before heading upstairs, take a moment to check out any of the literature in the entry that we have giving you information about our church and the missionwork we support. Make yourself at home. After making your way up stairs, proceed into our fellowship hall to hang up your coat and meet some of our members. Located here in the fellowship hall is also a live closed circuit broadcast of the worship service. Often times you'll find a parent in here during service along with a child or two. (Children are absolutely welcome in the sanctuary during service but sometimes they have a little too much energy for service and need to take a 'time-out') Let us worship together. As 10:30 starts to roll around, people begin to migrate in to the sanctuary at the top of the stairs. Usually there will be an usher or two at the door to greet you, hand you a bulletin for the service and give the little ones an activity bag to keep them occupied. The service itself has a variety of songs, interactive dialogue between the pastors and congregation, prayers, Bible readings, and a message based on one of the Bible readings that explains it more in depth and helps us apply it to our lives. We end the service with God's blessing on us all. At the end of the hour-long service, the pastors will make weekly announcements for the church. When they are finished they usher everyone out row by row and thank each person for coming. After exiting the sanctuary, feel free to hang out and get to know us or head out to enjoy your Sunday!

What is the community like?
At Faith Lutheran, you'll be welcomed into a friendly and safe environment by people who are excited to see you. The COVID-19 pandemic has altered the way we normally worship and interact with each other, but we are thankful we are able to meet and hear the gospel together. On any given Sunday, you will find empty-nesters and families with young children, single adults and married couples, some people wearing their "Sunday best" and others more casual, some outgoing extroverts and some reserved introverts. We are a community where everyone is unique and at the same time united. Come as you are and find out more for yourself! Come ready to be welcomed.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We understand you might just be curious about Christianity and this thing called "church," and that is fine. You are welcome to participate as much as you are comfortable with, or just listen and observe if you prefer. If you have a question about the service or message, go ahead and ask the person next to you. We are a teaching church, so we like to learn and grow together.
